The YMCA of York and York County is set to host the 3rd Annual Trails and Tails 5K on Saturday, May 2, 2020 beginning at 7 a.m. at John Rudy Park.
Join the YMCA for a fun, family and furry-friend trail running event!
“We extremely excited about this year’s Trails and Tails 5K! It is our 3rd year and we have changed to a new location,” stated Cori Strathmeyer, Director of Healthy Living. “This year’s course is the John Rudy Park 5K trail. The park provides plenty of parking, restrooms, water fountains and space for spectators and runners alike. This family event is open to all runners and walkers, with or without a furry friend.  Once again, we have partnered with For the Love of Dogs Rescue, because we think working with other nonprofit organizations makes our community stronger!”
The Trails and Tails 5K event includes a furry friend/family member costume competition, a youth fun run and a pet friendly 5K.  Participants can run or walk with or without a furry friend.
Proceeds benefit programs that help individuals prevent and better manage chronic conditions such as cancer, prediabetes, arthritis, and childhood obesity.
