Freelance Marketing Support – April-June 2019

The Appell Center seeks a freelance marketing professional to support marketing planning and implementation during an expected period of April 1-June 28, 2019. Exact start and end dates to be flexible and subject to change.
Significant Events Anticipated:
• April 27 – Trinity Irish Dance
• May 4 – Classic Albums Live – Beatles Abbey Road
• May 11 GALAvant
• 3 CapLive Performances
• 2-3 CapComedy Shows
• Numerous Monthly Films
Scope of Work:
25 hours per week average expected and may vary week-to-week. Full days on May 9-10 plus availability on Saturday May 11 required for GALAvant implementation.
Planned work period: 12 weeks
Strand Theatre and CapLive Shows: create and manage implementation of marketing plans for current or announced shows. Includes arranging and planning for show announcements and on-sales, creating show marketing plans using existing template; executing media buys, radio/TV spot production coordination, overseeing implementation and managing artist relations with show management as it relates to marketing. Supervise creation of show marketing settlements by Administrative Assistant.
2019-2020 Season Shows: plan and manage announcement marketing for first titles in the season. Includes coordination with show management re: on-sale details, marketing assets and implementation of an initial rack card marketing piece, plus coordination of social media, email and website messaging with Marketing Content Manager.
CapFilm and CapComedy: Implement existing marketing templates focused on on-site signage, flyer distribution, social media
Plan and execute public relations efforts.
Attend weekly Sales and Marketing meetings, Tuesdays at 10 AM.
Freelancer is not responsible for supervision, nor is required to attend events, other than GALAvant on May 11 as necessary.
