ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for following the duties given by the Executive Chef
Responsible for meal preparation
Proper food storage procedures must be followed, including rotation of new and old stock as well as proper storage of refrigerated meats, seafood, and produce
Must make sure all opened and prepared food is labelled and dated
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Responsible for preventing cross-contamination and keeping foods at a safe temperature
Required to assist with cleaning schedule as well as daily cleaning processes including washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, etc.
Accommodate special dietary needs, including food allergies and dietary restrictions
Responsible for upkeep and recording of refrigeration and protein temperature logs
Responsible for proper disposal of trash and recycling
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year culinary experience
High School diploma/GED preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Sitting/Standing: Extended periods of sitting and/or standing in an open office environment
Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) 25-50 lbs
Handling: Normal office activity including, keyboarding, interacting with others, participating in meetings, extended periods of sitting and/or standing in an open office environment, use of headset or telephone for extended periods of time.
Work Environment: Exposure to weather, uneven walking surfaces and office setting. Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.

Interact professionally with clients, employees and visitors maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Respond appropriately in case of program incidents or emergency medical situations and document in writing all incidents related to clients, staff, or the facility, per program policy and procedure and within the required time frame. This includes the reporting and documentation of all serious incidents and unusual occurrences relating to both clients and staff.
