An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Prepare baked and pastry items for completion by bakers and pastry cooks as per standard recipes
  • Assist pastry cooks and bakers in preparing and baking of dough for breads, pies and pastry products
  • Places requisitioned inventory items in appropriate storage areas
  • Prepares various mixtures and fillings per standard recipes for icings, pies, creams and custards
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work station according to ServSafe and HCPN standards
  • Assist in setting up dessert displays for restaurant and banquets as per production sheets
  • Report any product deficiencies or spoilage to supervisor immediately
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Pastry Chef   

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as: safety rules           
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret: various metrics
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills

  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions
