We are searching for an Environmental Field Technician for our Adamstown, PA office. Project types include assisting with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Act 2/Act 32/RCRA remediation projects, and storage tank closure projects.  The essential duties and responsibilities of the Environmental Field Technician will include:
•            Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with industrial waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment and facility decontamination and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
•            Oversees site contractors performing remedial activities
•            Excellent attitude toward personal safety, process safety, and environmental compliance
•            Other duties as required by the position
 
Project types include Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Act 2/Act 32/RCRA remediation projects, HAZMAT surveys/abatement oversight, and storage tank closure projects. 
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
•            Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or another related major
•            High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•            Self-sufficiency, capable of working independently
•            Proficient in the use of a PC, specifically Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
•            Position requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes/shapes/weights including bending, lifting, moving pumps and generators, pushing and pulling drums, etc.
•            May occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently lift 40-50 pounds.
•            Periodic/frequent work with hazardous substances while utilizing designated personal protective equipment. 
•            Occasional overnight stays may be required; must be able and available to travel
•            Ability to obtain, and keep in good standing, a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to job sites
