The Project Superintendent’s primary role and responsibilities are to schedule and direct personnel to ensure that the client’s requirements and expectations are met. The Superintendent will also at times use his hands-on skill set to help crew team complete projects. This individual ensures complete customer satisfaction is achieved while leveraging the relationship to benefit both the client and Strathmeyer.  Our Team Members understand, agree to, and implement Strathmeyer Landscape’s Vision Statement and Core Values.

Example Duties and Responsibilities include the following
  • Responsible for understanding client expectations on a per-site basis
  • Familiarity with each site’s specifications and working daily with production to ensure that work is being completed at a satisfactory level
  • Responsible for ensuring quality standards are met or exceeded – i.e., customer and company specified
  • Perform regularly scheduled site assessments to identify quality/service issues, provide detail site information to the customer
  • Resolve all customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the crew level Team Member relationship – i.e., train, coach, mentor, discipline, develop and review all crew level Team Members
  • Plan, organize and manage work for crew members while developing and maintaining motivated and productive crews
  • Proactively coordinate with Operations Coordinator to ensure all materials and equipment are procured and delivered in time to meet schedule
  • Manage and maintain all Company specified paperwork effectively and timely – i.e., time sheets, schedules, etc.
  • Supports the Purchasing Department team with sourcing materials, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Supports the Operations Team on estimating and production planning. 
Skill-set, Experience, and Knowledge:
  • Able to work with various software programs – i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Earth, Blue Beam, and Map Point.   ASSET experience a plus (+).
  • Ability to resolve customer issues timely and accurately
  • Knowledge of plant material and turf.
  • Ability and willingness to work under seasonal work demands
  • Supervisory and leadership skill set
  • Read and interpret plans and project specifications to ensure project is built accordingly
  • Proficient use of all landscape equipment
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs or more
  • Current valid driver license
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and driving test
  • Ability to pass Company mandatory drug and alcohol screening
  • CDL not required but a plus
  • Spanish Language not required but a plus
Educational and/or Experience:
Minimum of Five (5) years of customer service, leadership and management experience within the Landscape Industry.
Experience with Erosion and Sediment Control is desirable.
