WHO WE ARE
Kinsley’s Highway & Bridge group constructs highways, bridges, utility, and other civil infrastructure projects. From our offices in Pennsylvania and Maryland, we work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Our customers include federal, state, county, and local government agencies as well as private entities. Our crews and management team have the knowledge and experience to deliver large and complex projects and are equally capable of quickly and efficiently mobilizing to complete small and short-duration engagements
 
SUMMARY OF POSITION 
We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment operators in the South-Central PA region. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with a comprehension and ability to perform operations related to the construction of roads and bridges per Pennsylvania Department of Transportation specifications. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Excavating, installing and backfill of storm drain systems
  • Excavating, grading, and placing subbase for roadway construction
  • Excavating and backfilling of bridge structures, including pre-cast structures
  • Operate safely around both underground and overhead utilities
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment as required daily
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in operating heavy equipment such as an excavator, bulldozer, track loader, wheel loader, motor grader, and gradall
  • Versatility and the ability to operate multiple types of equipment is preferred
  • Ability to operate equipment without dependence on automated GPS controls at all times
  • Willingness to learn GPS automation if required
  • Reading and understanding grading plans to efficiently perform work is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work well with others, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn is required
  • Ability to comprehend and follow direction from supervisor
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and overtime as required
  • Willing to perform non-operating tasks if needed as required
  • Commitment to follow the company safety policy and work in a safe manor at all times
