DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County and their Center for Regional Analysis\, we'll dive into the Economic Intel surrounding York County. \n\n\n\nThis is the first report\, which will continue to be released bimonthly\, developed for York County\, and will touch on employment\, business health\, consumer outlook & demand\, and national and state GDP. These reports rely on in-depth interviews with York-based business leaders from key industry sectors. The business surveys provide essential insight\, identifying emerging issues and confirming local relevance of national trends. \n\n\n\nPanelists include Lisa Riggs\, President\, Economic Development Company of Lancaster County\; Naomi Young\, Director of the Center for Regional Analysis\, Economic Development Company of Lancaster County\; Kevin Schreiber\, President and CEO\, York County Economic Alliance\; and Silas Chamberlin\, Vice President of Economic & Community Development\, York County Economic Alliance.\n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but registration is required. CLICK HERE to register!\n\n\n\nABOUT THE PRESENTERS:\n\n\n\nLisa Riggs\n\nPresident of Economic Development Company of Lancaster County\n\nLisa joined the Economic Development Company in 2014 after serving as President of the Lancaster Barnstormers\, a professional minor league baseball team. Lisa is also the past President of the James Street Improvement District (a community and economic development organization focused on neighborhoods in Northwest and Downtown Lancaster City) and was Vice President\, Economic Development for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNaomi Young\n\nDirector of the Center for Regional Analysis at Economic Development Company of Lancaster County\n\nNaomi joined Economic Development Company in 2018. Prior to that\, she served as a senior research economist for the Environmental Finance Center based at the University of Maryland. Naomi has dual master's degrees in economics and public policy and management. She has more than 20 years of experience delivering effective assessment and advocacy of economic and public policy in the United States and Asia-Pacific region.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKevin Schreiber\n\nPresident and CEO of York County Economic Alliance\n\nKevin joined the York County Economic Alliance in 2016 after serving four years in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 95th House District. Prior to that\, he served as the Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of York. He earned his master's degree in public administration from Penn State University.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSilas Chamberlin\, PhD\n\nVice President of Economic & Community Development at York County Economic Alliance\n\nSilas has an established career in trail development\, conservation\, and economic development. His professional roles include director of Stewardship with the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor\, executive director of the Schuylkill River National Heritage Area\, and most recently CEO of Downtown Inc. Additionally\, Chamberlin holds a PhD in environmental history\, and wrote both his Masters' thesis and Doctoral dissertation on the history of trail development. His book\, On the Trail: A History of American Hiking\, was published by Yale University Press in 2016.
