DESCRIPTION:York Story Slam is a monthly gathering where anyone can take a turn at the microphone and tell a TRUE story based on that month's theme.\n\n\n\nOur virtual slams continue! We'll host our October 20 story slam via Zoom. The theme is GOOSEBUMPS\, and our host will be 2017 Grand Slam champ\, Eileen Joyce.\n\n\n\nWe have eight storytellers lined up for this event. We expect to hear stories of hair-raising experiences\, tricks\, treats\, and things that go bump in the night. However they interpret this month's theme\, we look forward to hearing their true stories.\n\n\n\nThere is no charge to register or attend. We will gratefully accept voluntary contributions during the event\, and put them toward future events. If you aren't in a position to give\, no problem - please join us anyway.\n\n\n\nYou must register in order to attend. To register\, CLICK HERE. Once you register\, we'll send you a confirmation email that includes the link to tune in on October 20. We will begin promptly at a 7 pm that evening. You'll click the link at the scheduled time from your laptop\, tablet\, or phone to join the call. You may wish to download the Zoom app if you don't already have it\, but it is not necessary to participate   if you don't have it\, the call will launch in your web browser. The app does give you access to more features\, such as voting for your favorite story of the evening.\n\n\n\nYou'll be able to see the storytellers as they share their stories\; we will not be able to see the audience members (so - shower and pants are optional!).\n\n\n\nRegister now\, and you'll receive your own unique link to tune in that evening.\n\n\n\n* * * * * * * * * *\n\n\n\nThis is the fifth year for our monthly story slam series.
