Learn how to get started\, what to avoid and celebrate your wins!\n\n \n\nPresented by Kimberly Stever of Eastwick Solutions\, a tourism and trail professional and Elissa Garofalo\, Executive Director of Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor\, founder of "Get your Tail on the Trail" a wellness initiative along the 132-mile D&L Trail.\n\n\n\nAdditional workshops will cover everything from the basics of a Trail Town Program to in-depth topics that will help businesses and organizations promote specific aspects of being in a Trail Town.\n\n\n\nYork County Economic Alliance launched the Trail Town Program to leverage the York Heritage Rail Trail as a platform and driver for economic development in towns located along or near the popular multi-use trail. The pilot program includes 5 towns: York\, Seven Valleys\, Glen Rock\, Railroad\, and New Freedom. The intention is to expand the program as more of the trail is built. The "trail towns" concept was pioneered on the Great Allegheny Passage\, where it has generated millions of dollars in local economic impact.\n\n\n\nPartnering with the York County Department of Parks\, the York County Rail Trail Authority\, Explore York\, and our municipal partners\, the Trail Town Program is a collaborative process with outreach to local governments\, residents and business owners in order for each town to reach its potential as a vibrant hub for trail users. By enhancing each town as a trail user-friendly destination and creating a cohesive Heritage Rail Trail experience\, visitors will stay longer and spend more money\, it will expand existing businesses and attract new ones.\n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend\, but registration is required.
