DESCRIPTION:Join the York County Economic Alliance for a Virtual Workshop Series to learn more about "How to be a Welcoming and Inclusive Trail Town". \n\n\n\nMaking trail users feel welcome is vital to the success of a Trail Town  initiative and related programming. Explore creative and engaging insights on how to welcome trail users of all kinds for a healthy\, diverse\, and meaningful trail experience. \n\n \n\nPresented by William Prince\, a seasoned trail professional and Director of Membership & Development at Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation and Rosalyn McPherson\, founder of The Roz Group and a strategist and expert at building cross-cultural relationships.\n\n\n\nAdditional workshops will cover everything from the basics of a Trail Town Program  to in-depth topics that will help businesses and organizations promote specific aspects of being in a Trail Town.\n\n\n\nYork County Economic Alliance launched the Trail Town Program  to leverage the York Heritage Rail Trail as a platform and driver for economic development in towns located along or near the popular multi-use trail. The pilot program includes 5 towns: York\, Seven Valleys\, Glen Rock\, Railroad\, and New Freedom. The intention is to expand the program as more of the trail is built. The "trail towns" concept was pioneered on the Great Allegheny Passage\, where it has generated millions of dollars in local economic impact.\n\n\n\nPartnering with the York County Department of Parks\, the York County Rail Trail Authority\, Explore York\, and our municipal partners\, the Trail Town Program  is a collaborative process with outreach to local governments\, residents and business owners in order for each town to reach its potential as a vibrant hub for trail users.
